Early on, YMSW began collaborating with Callison Architects on this award-winning environment for an upscale Seattle medical establishment.

Pepper Brown Granite, Ancient Golden Marble and Kinaro Tan Limestone were combined to create an elegant veneer running throughout the hallways. The subtle variation in stone characteristics, combined with YMSW special finishes, creates a rich patina. The Ancient Golden Marble, in particular, has an undulating, tactile surface texture.

These warm, natural qualities of the stone are a nice departure from the rigid, impersonal geometries of modern architecture. Thanks to YMSW’s early collaboration, this unusual finish application was realized despite the project’s aggressive scheduling and budget constraints.
